Dave Morley's thoughts on the game against Bristol and the season as a whole

"The lads were all pretty quiet before the game at Bristol. They knew a lot was riding on the result, in all fairness it doesn't get more serious than the club's status in League football. In all honesty I think we were quietly confident, it helped that there six teams below us who all had to win to go above us. It was definitely in the back of our minds though."

"It was brilliant for me to score the first goal of the game. To be fair I had to get at least one this season, didn't I? Bristol Rovers went and equalised shortly afterwards and put us back on level terms and the pressure was back on for us."

"As soon as Marcus Richardson scored the third goal I went over to the referee and asked how long was left, he said it was something like four or five minutes. I knew we could hold on for that length of time and come away with a much needed three points."

Once the final whistle had been blown you could just see the relief on the team's faces. It wasn't just us either, the gaffer and the coaching staff were all pleased too. It would have been a massive disappointment going into the Conference, so you really could see the relief all round."

"We have had a very difficult season, but one of the highlights for me was our success in the L.D.V. Vans Trophy. Captaining the side has been a big plus for me too, even though we didn't do as well as we had originally planned. I would have to say that the low point for me was not getting to the L.D.V. Final which would have been a massive game for the club, especially seeing as we had beaten Carlisle a couple of times this season."

"Looking forward now I think it's important that we put this season behind us and concentrate on the next campaign. Hopefully the gaffer will bring in a few more faces and we'll be looking to finish much higher up the table."
