Paul Bolland believes the team are just one win away from getting the season back on track after the Silkmen's disappointing start to the campaign, one that has seen them pick up just two points from the first five games.
We caught up with Paul before training today to gauge the mood in the camp ahead of Saturday's trip to Wycombe.
"As players we know we are judged by results," explained Paul. "And the simple fact is we haven't won a game in the league this season."
"That's disappointing. Disappointing for us. Disappointing for the fans and everyone concerned with the club. But whilst the league table doesn't make for happy reading I genuinely don't think it is time to start panicking."
"We've only really played poorly in one game and that was against Accrington. We deserved to lose that day but in the other games I think we've matched our opponents but just failed to take our chances."
"That was very much the case against Stockport on Saturday. We had enough chances to win that game but it just didn't happen for us on the day."

How important was the penalty miss?
Any penalty miss hurts and I think had it gone in, we'd have gone on to win the game. If there was a positive to be had, it was that we didn't go into our shells and we created more chances after it happened.
If we were playing badly and not creating chances then that would be the time to really worry. That is not to underplay the current situation. We are desperate for that first win and it is important we all stay positive.
We're not adrift at the bottom by any stretch of the imagination. So a win against Wycombe would probably see us close to mid table and that's why we have to keep a positive frame of mind.
What's it been like in training this week?
It's been very upbeat. The gaffer has worked us hard and spirits have been high. But we all know how important that first win will be and what better place to do it than at Wycombe. I know people won't be expecting us to win but this league is very open as recent results have shown.
