Programme preview.

What's on offer in this weekend's edition of the Macclesfield Town matchday programme.

Gary Simpson: "[Chesterfield manager] John Sheridan was full of praise and felt if any side looked the more likely winners it was us. I certainly felt we played the better football and I don't think anyone there on the day could say they were the better side"

Mike Rance: "Off the pitch we're making some positive progress too. They may be modest projects when compared to the capital investments being made by others but our office revamp is improving our efficiency and the newly refurbished Corner Flag Bar at the Moss got off to a great start last Saturday, enhancing both the matchday experience for fans in the London Road and Star Lane as well as creating extra revenue for the club. If you haven't tried it you should!"

Mick Holgate: "I think it's absolutely vital for a club like Macclesfield to have an efficient youth-system in place. It took us four or five years until we were producing players who were able to make the transition into the senior side. But in the last few years the club have really reaped the rewards"

Paul Bolland: "The lads were pleased after the game against Chesterfield as they are really fancied with their squad to go far this season. After the result against Accrington we could have let our heads drop at 1-0 down but we put in a real shift and I thought we showed a lot of spirit and character."

Matt Hamshaw: "I enjoyed my time with Stockport but left under a bit of a cloud so probably not the best. I was signed by Chris Turner and had enjoyed the first few months. I was made captain and all was going well."

Match to Remember: "We continue our look back at memorable games between the Silkmen and their opponents on the day. And whilst our visitors will no doubt be sick and tired of the mere mention of our encounter back in 2005, there was only ever going to be one match we could choose for this afternoon's programme!"

Blogger: "Local derbies are always a little bit special for fans, and the football world is full of heated rivalries. These fixtures have a history of their own, with memorable on or off-pitch moments that are talked about for years afterwards."

Plus much more, all for just £2.50.
