Following the first of a new series of fans votes run through www.mtfc.co.uk, the Silkmen have moved to BAN the vuvuzela from the Moss Rose.

"We wanted to leave this descision in the hands of our supporters" said Commercial and Operations manager Sally Brealey.

"After throwing it open to the public, the decision in favour of a ban came back with an almost 80% majority! So with that in mind we have cancelled our order at 'Vuvuzelas R Us'.

"We would like to thank our supporters for taking part in this vote and there will be another descision to be made which will be announced later this week."
