2010/11 League Fixtures out now

Posted on: Thu 17 Jun 2010

The Silkmen will begin their 2010/11 npower League Two campaign on their travels with a tough looking trip to Stevenage Borough on August 7.

It will be the seventh consecutive season that we have been drawn to play away on opening day, the only consolation being we will become the Boro's first ever league opponents as they begin life at the higher level.

Seven days later we welcome Shrewsbury Town to the Moss Rose for our first home game before making the short trip to Accrington the following Saturday.

The final weekend of August sees us entertain Chesterfield before we have our first taste of derby action, with Stockport arriving at the Moss Rose on Saturday 4 September.

The return game takes place on Saturday 19 February.

The Christmas and New Year programme will see Sammy McIlroy bringing his Morecambe team to the Moss on Boxing Day, with trips to Oxford United (Dec 28) and Bury (Jan 1) to follow. There is also a game on Jan 3, Rotherham at home.

The first  midweek game see us travel to Crewe (28/9). On November 2 we head to the Don Valley Stadium and three weeks later (Nov 23) Cheltenham make the long trip up to Cheshire for our first bit of evening action at the Moss Rose.

Other midweek home games are against local derbies against Bury (Feb 1) and Crewe Alexandra (Mar 8).

The season draws to a close on May 7 with a home game against Hereford United.
