After a run of eight matches in four weeks, we spoke to Silkmen Physio Nick Reid about the current injury situation at the Moss Rose.
It's been a busy week. Are things improving?
"We've still got a few players out who have been missing for a while. Carl Tremarco is getting closer to fitness but this weekend will be a bit too soon for him. But we're hopeful that he can return to training in time for the trip to Dagenham next weekend.
"Also close to a recall is Izak Reid. He's been out since taking a knock on his ankle at Notts County. He's been back in training this week, but started to feel the ankle again so might be a push for this weekend but again we have a good chance of him returning next Saturday.
"Hamza Bencherif is still working on flexibility and strength after his break, but still doesn't look like he'll be ready for a return to action this season.
"Ricky Sappleton and Paul Bolland are both doubts for this weekend. Ricky still has some swelling in his knee and hasn't trained yet. He might be in tomorrow and we'll have to see how it looks, but if it's still swollen then he'll struggle for Saturday.
"Paul Bolland has badly bruised ribs which are possibly fractured. He needs to see how comfortable he is to see if he is available to play.
"Better news is that Junior Daniel and Ben Wright have been back in training today with a view to a return to action this weekend."
