With the Silkmen's sights now set on giving manager Keith Alexander a fitting memorial in the next game at Hereford, the treatment room has been in full flow.
We spoke to Silkmen Physio Nick Reid about how things are going.
"Well, obviously all of the players are very cut up about the news. We all are. But the injured lads also have to keep working on getting fit and have been very professional.
"Every player wants to be involved in the game on Saturday and put on a performance for the manager.
"But unfortunately, some of the lads won't be fit for the game, but everyone will be travelling down for it.
"Izak Reid took a bad knock on Tuesday night and has a sprained ankle. It's certainly not as bad as it could have been, but he will probably be out for a couple of weeks.

"Carl Tremarco is getting closer to fitness after his hernia operation and is still a week or so away and Hamza Bencherif has been jogging this week and is working hard on regaining the flexibility in his ankle and rebuilding the muscles around the injury."
