Programme Preview

What's on offer in this weekend's Macclesfield Town matchday programme.

Keith Alexander: "On Tuesday we created a lot of chances and I suppose only had ourselves to blame. But aside fromour inability to scoremore on the night, I was delighted with how we approached thematch. Itwas crucial thatwe didn't lose the game as thatwould have closed the gap between us and Grimsby and of course given them a much needed win. However we imposed ourselves on the game from the first whistle and looked the stronger side over the ninety."

Mike Rance: "I think clear for all to see for the Silkmen. Our record of just 10 defeats in 30 games makes us officially difficult to beat which is pleasing especially when we consider the loss of important players to injury. If we could just convert a few more promising performances into victories I feel we wouldn't be far off the pace in what is proving to be a well matched league this season."

Opposition Fans Eye View: IS THIS YEAR FINALLY GOING TO SEE PROMOTION? "I've been a little nervy about all this promotion talk. We've won nothing yet, and although it would take something really unexpected to throw us off course, I haven't wanted to get too excited. But over the last couple of games (Bradford aside), with the kind of football currently on show, it's time to believe!"

Shaun Hessey: "I've had a couple of long term lay-offs before but this one was worse because I couldn't get around as a result of the cast onmy leg. So my girlfriend was basically a slave for three months. She's making up for it now mind! I was also indebted to club masseur Paul Geaney who was my personal taxi service during that time."

Trust Matters: "We are hosting a pool competition this evening at the Durham Ox. The fun kicks off at 7.00pm and everyone is welcome. At the time of writing there are still some spaces available. So dust down your pool cue and join us later."

40 Years On: "The back line were the heroes, playing with real determination as Jim Conde, regarded as the best in the division, did not manage a shot on target with John Collins shackling him all game. Dennis Fidler scored the Silkmen's goal 20 minutes into the second half after the Bangor defence failed to clear a Beaumont cross."

Plus the latest from the Youth Team, Macc Ladies and the latest news from the Moss Rose.
