It's been a busy couple of weeks for the Silkmen and Macclesfield Physio Nick Reid has been in action this week working to get the squad fit and ready for the visit of Lincoln City.

We spoke to about the current situation in the Silkmen squad.

"First off, Shaun Hessey is still out but progressing well." Said Nick. "He's been doing some running and we've been to see a specialist. His ligament has healed nicely and he should be back in full training before too long.

"The only other senior player who will definitely miss out this weekend is Paul Morgan. He has a groin strain which he picked up at Burton, and it kept him out of Darlington and Carlisle. He might be back in time for Cheltenham, but we will have to wait and see."

What about the other players who might be on the fringes of missing the match?

"We're hopeful that Ross Draper will be back in action on Saturday. He should be back in training on Friday and we will see how he gets on there. With any luck he will be available for selection for the weekend.

"Of the others who missed out on Saturday, Carl Tremarco has benefitted from not playing midweek and he is looking fit and ready to go. He should be back and ready to feature. So should Ben Wright who has been suffering a little with his back and missed out on Tuesday.

"Lee Bell is another one who needed a bit of a break and will be available again at the weekend.

"At the youth team level, we're still waiting on Steffan (Backer-Rowley) and Jack (Lane) who have a broken collar-bone and twisted ankle respectively. But Tom Meachin has joined them with after he turned his ankle in training as well."
