Macclesfield Town have given first-team squad numbers to youngsters Vinny Mukendi and Michael Thomas.

The players, who have been given 24 and 25 respectively, were regulars in the club's pre-season campaign and have both been playing at youth and reserve level this season.

Vinny made his senior debut for the Silkmen at Grimsby in the final game of last season and has already found the back of the net six times for the youth team and once in the Reserves this season. Michael has also scored once from midfield for the youth team.

Keith Alexander said: "It's good once again to see the young lads proving that they are worthy of first-team consideration. We have several members of the squad who have come through the ranks here already, and with seven places on the subs bench this season, it gives us further opportunity to give these lads some experience of the senior side."
