A young silkmen side got off to a flyer at Boston's York Street ground thanks to Matthew Tipton, but the home side equalised from the spot and hit five second half goals.
After young 'keeper Josh Welsby got an early touch of the ball, gathering a close range header, Matthew Tipton re-opened his account with the Blues after 18 minutes. Latching on to Michael Thomas' forward ball he advanced on the Boston 'keeper and lifted the ball over his head. Kyle Wilson could have doubled the score but saw his shot saved.
But the lead only lasted six minutes after Rikki Bains handled Marc Newsham's shot and the same player scored from the spot. Matt Flynn cleared from his own goal-line before Wilson again went close but the score remained at 1-1 at half time.
Less than 15 minutes into the second spell the Silkmen fell to pieces for a four minute spell. First Clarke powered a strike into the back of the net from the edge of the area on 59 minutes before Sleath reacted fastest to finish from close range on 61 and then Newsham scored from an angle after taking the ball past Welsby another two minutes later.
Clarke scored from the edge of the area again to make it 5-1 before Newsham completed a hat-trick by clipping in a 25 yard free-kick.
Reaction to follow.
