Young silkmen striker, Vinny Mukendi has caught the attention of Wales' Intermediate Team Coach Brian Flynn and been invited to attend a get together at the end of this month in preparation for the season ahead.

Youth team boss John Askey was delighted both for Vinny and the club upon hearing the news.

"Vinny's an undoubted talent, someone who if he keeps his head down and doesn't get too far ahead of himself can go a long way in the game," explained John. "The get together is a chance for him to mix with other players from other clubs and should be a good experience for him. It's also the first time that any of our lads have received such recognition and hopefully it is another sign that the club is moving in the right direction."
