Nat Brown became the latest player to join up for the 2009/10 this week as he joined the rest of the team for pre-season training.

Before he was taken on a tour of the new facility, we grabbed a chat about his return to the Moss Rose.

Welcome back to the Moss Rose.

"Glad to be back, and I'm happy to be officially back as a League player. I left Lincoln to join Wrexham, but things didn't really work out there so I was pleased to come here on loan and really enjoyed my time at the club. So I'm delighted to be here. I had a lot of games in midfield and scored a few goals and then moved back into defence and I think I did pretty well."

Happy to be working with Keith again?

"I've got a lot of respect for Keith Alexander. I worked with him at Lincoln City and was looking forward to working with him again when he came to take me on loan last season. I know he's been a fan of mine for years and it's good to work with a manager who can appreciate you."

And what about the players who remain from last season?

"Last season despite the problems we had on the pitch sometimes the spirit amongst the players was fantastic. But we can hope that the atmosphere it will be even better this season because we're determined to do better on the pitch. We want to be challenging at a much higher position than we did last year."

What do you know about the new signings?

"There's a lot of new faces coming in, but I've played with both Carl [Tremarco] and Ben [Wright] at Lincoln and Wrexham.

"I spoke to the gaffer about both players over the summer. I've played at the back with Carl before and he's a good left-back to have beside you in that position. Ben Wright is a good target man who knows where the goals are and scored regularly in the season I was with him at Lincoln.

"I've only just met the other new lads, but I'm sure if the gaffer has brought them to the club they will be able to do a job. It will be interesting to see how well we can all perform next season."

"We all just want to do the best we can and push on to improve the results next season. You never know what can happen in football."
