Macclesfield Town have added Gareth Southgate's Middlesbrough to the pre-season schedule at the Moss Rose.

The Teessiders were relegated at the end of last season, and this will be their first pre-season match as they begin their campaign amongst the bookie's favourites to bounce straight back.

The match will take place on Saturday 18th July and tickets will be available on the gates for £10 for adults, £5 for concessions and FREE for all U12s.

With the visitors going all guns blazing for promotion to the Premiership, this will prove a stern test for Keith Alexander and his new-look Macclesfield Town team.

This will, of course, not be the first time the two sides have met after a two-legged League Cup defeat in September 2000.

This game will also give Macclesfield supporters a first chance to see the new away shirt which will be worn through all four home pre-season games, and will go on sale on Saturday 25th July.
