Macclesfield Town's squad for next season was strengthened today following the signing of Kyle Wilson on a one year deal.
The young striker who attracted interest from other clubs, joins the Silkmen from FC United of Manchester, for whom he was top goalscorer last season with 24 goals from 32 games.
Formerly of Crewe Alexandra, where he was the youth team's top scorer in both 2003 and 2004, Kyle also enjoyed spells on loan at Witton Albion and Altrincham.
The 23 year old also represented England at U18 and U19 level, including appearances for his country in the prestigious Lisbon tournament. He joined FC United in August 2008 and had an immediate impact, and was on target to break all records until a knee injury in January forced him to miss the remainder of the season.
Silkmen boss Keith Alexander was delighted to get his man.
"I've watched him play on several occasions and believe he has the ability to make the step up. He'll have had a good grounding during his time with Crewe's highly successful youth set up and will have benefited from his time last season with FC United, who are a very good club."
"More importantly he is desperate to show he can hold his own in the Football League. Every now and again you have to take a gamble on someone from the lower leagues. Scoring goals was our problem last season and in Kyle we have signed an exciting young talent with a proven eye for goal," added Keith.
"Now fully fit he will be flying when he arrives for pre-season training and we'll have a great chance to have a good look at him and see how he does.
