Silkmen defender James Jennings could be looking at a lengthy lay-off following a injury he picked up in Saturday's defeat at Gillingham.

The defender hobbled out of the action midway through the second half and whilst the full extent of the injury will not be known until further scans have taken place Keith Alexander fears the worst.

"We don't know for sure yet, but early indications are that JJ could be out for upwards of a month, possibly more. He certainly won't be playing any part this week which is a big loss especially if Sean Hessey has also failed to recover."
