Defender to sit Saturday out

Posted on: Thu 04 Dec 2008

Paul Morgan will be missing from the Silkmen squad this weekend. The defender joined us on a season long loan in the summer, and the rules of the deal prevent him from playing in any of our games with the Shakers.

"Clearly it is disappointing to be missing Paul's services on Saturday. After taking a few games to adjust, he has been great for us and it necessitates a bit of an adjustment at the back," explained Keith Alexander. "But we knew those were the rules when we made the signing and we just have to get on with things."

Saturday the also the last day of Nat Brown's loan deal. There is an option to extend this beyond the initial months and Keith is hopeful a deal can be struck.

"Nat's made a big impact since he arrived at the Moss Rose at the start of last month. It wasn't a surprise to me as I know what he is capable of. However in having done so well it increases the possibility that his current club Wrexham will want to take him back to the Racecourse Ground. At the moment the ball is in their court. We'd like to extend the deal and we are currently in discussions with them. Hopefully something can be agreed but for now Nat's last game will be on Saturday."
