The Silkmen have received a suspended fine from the FA for their poor disciplinary record during the 2007/08 season.

The £3000 fine (suspended for twelve months) was confirmed in writing after a hearing last month, attended by club Chairman Mike Rance and manager Keith Alexander.

"It's disappointing but at the same time we accept that as a team we received too many yellow cards last season," explained Patrick Nelson. "It is something we need to work hard to address and I know Keith and the team are conscious of the fact."
