The Silkmen squad was further enhanced today with the news that Kristian Dennis and Chris Hirst have committed their immediate future to the club.

Both youngsters were key members of last season's successful youth team squad and have both been rewarded with their first professional contract.

Youth Team coach John Askey was delighted for the pair and felt both were deserving of their twelve month deal.

"Kristian bagged a lot of goals for the team last year and is one of those players who knows were the goal is. Chris too weighed in with some important strikes and has a great engine inside him," explained John.

"Both of them have a chance now to make a mark at the higher level. It is going to be a challenge for them but that is what they have been working towards and if they approach it in the same way that they have acquitted themselves over the last two years then they will do well."
