The club is happy to announce that Izak Reid has put pen to paper on a new one year deal. The youngster is pictured here in a special one off shirt that we plan to wear later this season against Chester City.

If you think you have seen it before then you are right as it is the same design as what Iker Casillas has been wearing for Spain in Euro 2008. Subject to demand we may well have s limited number on sale.

The youngster made 19 starts for the Silkmen last season after being given his debut by Paul Ince in December 2006. He made a further 8 appearances from the bench and scored his first two goals as a senior professional, the first coming in our memorable 1-0 victory over Peterborough at London Road.

"Izak did very well for me last season and I am pleased he has agreed to come back to the Moss Rose next season. He is another one of the youngsters we have at the club that I think can develop and I am sure he will play a big part for us this season," explained Keith Alexander.

"He's versatile in terms of where he can play and his attitude to the game is spot on so I look forward to welcoming him back and seeing him improve over the course of the season."
