The club learnt today that our bid to enter a reserve team into next season's Central League had been accepted and the Silkmen will therefore take their place for the start of the coming season. The league is split into three divisions and to confuse matters slightly we have been put in 'Division 1 Central' of the Central League!

We will play all eight teams in the Central Division home and away with half of all home games having to kick-off at 7pm. The remaining will take place at the Moss Rose subject to final confirmation on a Wednesday (2bm kick-off).

Our opponents include the likes of both Sheffield clubs and Nottingham Forest. Here's a full list of the Central League divsions.

Div 1 West

Accrington Stanley, Blackpool, Burnley, Bury, Carlisle, Man City, Morecambe, Preston, Rochdale, Tranmere

Div 1 Central

Lincoln, Macclesfield, Mansfield, Nottingham Forest, Port Vale, Sheff Utd, Sheff Wed, Shrewsbury Town, Walsall

Div 1 East

Barnsley, Bradford City, Grimsby Town, Hartlepool United, Huddersfield Town, Leeds United, Rotherham United, Scunthorpe United, York City
