Office hit by fire
Members of staff arrived at the Moss Rose this morning to find that the club office had been hit by an overnight fire. Whilst the exact cause is unknown it would appear that an intruder had set fire to something in the stairwell leading up to the offices and the McIlory Suite.
"It was a bit of a shock to us all," said chief executive Patrick Nelson. "Thankfully it was only a localised fire and it hasn't done a lot of damge. The stairwell however is a bit of a mess and the office area has been covered in a film of soot. We'll be looking at the CCTV images to see if we can identify the exact cause but for now we are busy trying to get the place cleaned up. It shouldn't have any impact onto the game tomorrow but we may have to make alternative arrangements for the ticket collection point depending on how the clean up goes."
