We need to keep our heads up
Despite the disappointment of losing to an injury time winner at Griffin Park yesterday manager Keith Alexander was in determined mood as he looked forward to Tuesday night's trip to Dagenham & Redbridge.
"It's never nice to lose any game but to do so in the manner we did was incredibly disappointing," said Keith. "But sometimes that is what happens when you are down at the bottom. But it is now that we have to show how strong a set of characters we are and make up for it at Dagenham on Tuesday."
"Prior to losing at home to Peterborough yesterday they have been on a roll and have a lot of pace in the side. So we need to go there and show our character and take something from the game. Wrexham winning today didn't help but you can't keep relying on results elsewhere. We need to get our house in order and do it quickly."
"There were positives to take from the game on Saturday. I thought we battled hard, match them man for man and were deserving of a point. Ok we didn't create that much in terms of attacking play but as the away team we went there with a game plan and it was up to the home side to break us down. For the most part of ninety minutes we did a job and restricted them to long distance efforts."
"Defensively we were magnificent but we paid the price through giving up some sloppy possession, which is an area we need to work on as it put us under pressure far too often for my liking. And we are not creating enough chances. I was brought here because we are near the bottom of the league. And scoring goals has been the big problem."
"I don't think the front three against Brentford did enough and I will be looking for more from them on Tuesday. Its another long away trip and I expect to make changes. The most important thing is we don't let our heads drop. This is were we have to earn the right to play and win games."
