We caught up with Keith Alexander shortly after the narrow defeat to Notts County at Meadow Lane.
We've faced another promotion chasing side and been narrowly beaten again. Is that frustrating?
"Of course, it's always frustrating to be coming so close but not quite taking anything from the game, but we have battled very hard in these games against Bournemouth ,Rochdale and Bury, and of course tonight but have lacked that cutting edge up front.
"And it's something we are trying very hard to get right and the players have all given everything they could tonight."
Obviously scoring goals has been a problem of late, what can we do about that?
"We can continue to work hard in training and practising finishing as we have been doing. But training and the match itself are both very different so we have to do what we can.
"We don't have the money to bring anyone new in, but then that isn't always the best answer to any problem."
After a flat first half we were much improved in the second 45. What did you say to them?
"I told them to stop showing them so much respect. We know that they might be the richest club in the division, and we've all heard the rumours of the transfer fees and wages but that doesn't mean we can't get stuck in against them.
"If we continue to put in the effort and show commitment every game then anyone can take a result from anyone in this division."
Of course, playing the last 15 minutes with 10 men didn't help. How is Izak?
"We're not sure yet. We need to let Reidy take a look at him tomorrow, but he could be out for a while. We'll have to wait and see what we find out in the morning.
"But I would be surprised if he is available for Saturday so I might have to shuffle the pack a bit for the trip to Hereford."
Hereford were four goals worse off than us here on Saturday, we face them on Saturday, early thoughts on the game?
"They did lose 5-0 here at the weekend, but they have bounced back since then and won tonight against Cheltenham.
"It's not going to be an easy game because every game in this division is tough, but we'll go there looking for three points which will give everyone a lift."
