He may have spent close to ten years there as both a player and manager, but tonight's game with Lincoln City is just like any other game this season. And whilst the gaffer is looking to pick up as many points as possible from the remaining games, one eye is already looking to next season.
"The aim from tonight is quite simple," explained Keith. "We need to go to Sincil Bank and pick up at least a point. I don't want to be going into the last game against Grimsby needing to get something from the game."
"It is going to take something extraordinary I believe for that to happen but I would certainly feel a lot more comfortable if we had another couple of wins under our belts, especially as we also have to go to Chester City a week on Saturday."
"We shouldn't of course be talking about this as we have had ample opportunities to be much higher up in the league table. In that sense the fans have every right to feel disappointed. I know I do."
"But for whatever reason we've been missing the extra bit of something. A bit more composure and quality at times perhaps has been needed. And a bit of extra luck wouldn't have gone amiss just recently."
"The lads are doing the best they can in very difficult circumstances. I've had spells as manager and player when you couldn't buy a win. Its tough don't get me wrong. But you have to continue to work hard and stick to your principles. Eventually your reward will come."
"Experience is something we've therefore been missing, and injuries to the likes of Franny, Sean, Richard, JJ and Izak could not have come at a worse time for us. The fact that I refer to JJ and Izak as two of our more experienced players shows just how young a squad we have."
"Again on Saturday we went into the Dagenham game with six players under the age of 21. The balance isn't quite right at the moment but the benefit is the lads will come out of it as much better players."
"We know we are never going to have the biggest playing budget in the world. That is a given and something we just have to accept. But it should in no way be an excuse for under achieving. You learn all the time is this job and this season for me has been no different in that respect. But the most important thing is that you use what you have learnt to make yourself better. That's what we all want and that's why Gary and myself are very clear on where we want to be."
"We know in my own mind those players we want to keep at the club in the summer and those we'll be looking to bring in. The intention is to go into next year with a much smaller squad, but at the same time looking for our new crop of younger players to stake their claim. If we can get that balance right we give ourselves every chance of mounting a realistic challenge in the top half of the table."
"So I am excited about the prospects for next season. And a strong finish to this season would be the perfect way to begin our preparations."
