Keith Alexander was well pleased with his team's efforts this afternoon in a game he thought his side could have won.
"They've been flying of late so come to their place and come away with a draw is a great result for us," explained Keith Alexander. "And to be honest I thought based on our first half performance we perhaps could have shaded it."
"But this game is all about taking your chances and before the break we were guilty again of not making the most of those we created. We expected them to come out stronger in the second half, which they did and they put us under a lot of pressure."
"By and large we defended well but it was another set piece that cost us. But to be fair to the lads their player put a good ball into the box and sometimes you just have to except that."
"I was pleased with the way in which we stayed in the game after going behind. Often going a goal behind has proved our undoing. But they've showed a good deal of character and as the game wore on I though we got stronger."
"Yet again I thought we were on the wrong end of a lot of strange decisions today. It would have been easy for the lads to get frustrated and lose their discipline. But we didn't pick up a single card today which just shows how professional they were."
"I was delighted with our goal. Izak put a great ball into the box and Nat Brown did what he does best, finding space and getting on the end to score with a great header. That's what he is capable of and it is pleasing that we are no longer reliant on our forwards scoring to take anything from games."
"After three defeats in the league it was important we didn't lose today. And the performance should give us a lot of confidence for the game at Barnet next Saturday. They've lost heavily at home today so the pressure will be on them and that can only work to our advantage."
