Sunday, 2nd May 2010 marks the 40th Anniversary of Macclesfield Town Football Club winning the first ever F.A. Trophy Final, at Wembley Stadium.
To celebrate the occasion Club Director, Geoff Findlow, is organizing an evening that will enable supporters to turn back the clock to the events of that wonderful, unforgettable 1969 -'70 season.
With film footage and photographs, never seen before by the general public, shown on the big screen and all surviving members of that team indicating that they will be attending, the celebration promises to be an evening full of laughs, nostalgia and emotion not to be missed.
Geoff said, "The players are really looking forward to coming back to the Moss Rose and reliving that very special time in their lives which I know means so much to each and every one of them.
"They will be travelling from all parts of both this country and the world to be with us. John Collins is coming from Spain, Dave Robert's from South Africa and Dennis Fidler, who for health reasons cannot fly, will be driving all the way from his home in Italy just to be with us. Supporters who miss this one will miss something very, very special!"
The celebration entitled 'A Dream Comes True' will take place on Sunday, 2nd May 2010 at 7.30p.m. in the McIlroy Suite at the Moss Rose Stadium. Tickets are priced at just £5 and the limited number of exclusive £20 tickets have already sold out, so make sure you get your tickets s0on to avoid disappointment.
