Macclesfield Town's Football in the Community scheme has just agreed an expansion to the current street soccer project.
As of January, FITC will deliver across 15 estates in the East Cheshire region, with each getting a Street Sports Project based in their community.
Linked to the World Cup each Estate will be nominated a Team and be given points according to not only how well they take part physically, but also how they behave.
This project run in partnership with Cheshire East council and Cheshire Peaks & Plains has the potential to have a major impact on the communities through reducing Anti Social Behaviour and Vandalism.
This new project will also include a World Cup Tournament taking place at the Moss Rose at the end of the season. this will be a great opportunity for people of all ages, gender & backgrounds to visit the club.
