Macclesfield Town have appointed experienced Physio Mel Pejic to the back room staff at the Moss Rose.
Mel began his playing career at Stoke but only played once for the club. Moving onto Hereford he became a club stalwart, spending 12 years at Edgar Street and playing almost 500 times. After this he joined Wrexham and added more than 100 more appearances to his CV.
It was here he began his career in physiotherapy, gaining qualifications and becoming the club's 'magic-sponge man'.
Whilst with the club he also worked for John Toshack's Wales side, and enjoyed almost 15 years in the position at the Racecourse ground.
He departed Wrexham in the summer of 2011 and spent last season in the Reserve team role at Bolton Wanderers.
This move also sees the departure of Nick Reid from the position at the Moss Rose. We would like to thank Nick for his hard work throughout his time at the Moss Rose and wish him well for the future.
Picture thanks to Bolton Wanderers.
