John Askey adds to his squad ahead of Braintree game

Macclesfield Town Football Club are pleased to announce the loan signing of Barnsley defender Callum Evans.  The 21-year-old has signed a deal that will keep him at the Moss for the remainder of the 2016/17 campaign.

Evans, who has started once and came off the bench once for Barnsley this season, is a former Manchester United youngster who joined Barnsley in the summer of 2015. He has been a regular for their development squad since and will now look to get his break with the Silkmen.

The full-back should provide cover for skipper Andy Halls who limped out of Wednesday's defeat to Barrow with a hamstring injury.

Evans will wear the number 31 shirt for Macc and could go straight in to the Silkmen squad that will host Braintree Town at the Moss Rose on Saturday afternoon.
